Vanity Project Completed!

Hooray, the vanity project is complete! Thought I would share these projects as they are completed.  I have no idea how long it might take to get them into their final location.  Hope you like them as much as I do.

This project was a big one.

Antique Dresser Project
This is the dresser we will use as the master bath vanity. It was in great shape and we almost used it in the condition we purchased it.

We found this on Facebook Marketplace .  I was so lucky to find this dresser.  The dresser needed to be wide enough to fit both sinks and faucets.  I wish I had taken a better picture with the drawers in.

Antique Dresser Project
The painted dresser! I just love it. I have the sinks and faucets just sitting their to get a good look at it.

Someday there will be a mirror on the wall behind each sink and a pendant light that hangs in front of the mirrors.  This was a fun project.  Paint can truly transform anything!    The paint I used is Annie Sloan French Linen.  When dry, I sealed it with Modern Masters Master Clear Supreme.  I did not use a primer prior to painting.  I guess I will find out eventually if that was a good idea!

Chalk Paint and Sealer
I love working with Anne Sloan Chalk Paint. I feel like a pro. This sealer is great for items that might get wet.

What I have learned about sealers is that some can turn your piece yellow.  This is especially noticeable over  white paint.  Still learning about furniture finishing and have decided that keeping a notebook on my trial and errors would be a good idea.  Way too time consuming, and expensive,  to make those mistakes on the actual piece.
