A BIT ABOUT ME

Welcome to our farm home!  Hi, I’m Sarah Jason and www.farmhomeandhearth.com was started so I could share a few of my passions with you.  First, my love for our farm home and the property it sits on and also, my decorating hobby.   We live in a farmhouse that was built in the 1800s and we have been trying to make this house a cozy home.  My husband is a carpenter by trade and I am the one with the Inspiration and vision.  Together we are building our dream home.

 I enjoy working on our farm home. Working indoors in the winter and outdoors in the summer is perfect. Trying to do all the things I love on our budget can be quite a challenge. Apparently, I have expensive taste. Everything that grabs my attention also grabs most of my wallet.  So I, like many others, need to look at things with a fresh eye. However, I am inpatient and need instant gratification. Fortunately, I find that the small projects  bring me just as much joy.

First, I think it would be helpful for you to understand a little more about this old farmhouse so here is a link so you can read more about our house https://www.farmhomeandhearth.com/the-house-in-the-picture-2/.  The woman we bought our house from is also our neighbor.  She shares as much history as often as she can and has also given us some very cool old pictures and even a couple of pieces of furniture.  One day we hope to restore the front exterior to its original design.  I would like to research the county record to gain more information on this place. Hopefully, I will be able to share this with you soon.
